The Journal of Physical Therapy & Health Sciences (JPTHS), a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, open-access publication from the Department of Rehabilitation & Health Sciences at Nazeer Hussain University (NHU), Karachi, Pakistan, invites submissions for its Volume 1, Issue 2, covering the period July–December 2025. As a platform committed to advancing rehabilitation and health sciences, this issue will spotlight innovative research, evidence-based practices, and interdisciplinary approaches that enhance clinical outcomes and community well-being.

Building on the success of our inaugural issue, we aim to foster global dialogue among researchers, clinicians, educators, and policymakers. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of physical therapy and allied health disciplines.

We welcome original, high-quality manuscripts aligned with our mission to promote evidence-based, ethical, and patient-centered care. Key themes for this issue include, but are not limited to:

  • Musculoskeletal and Orthopedic Innovations: Advances in pain management, biomechanics, and post-injury rehabilitation.
  • Neurological Rehabilitation: Strategies for neuroplasticity, stroke recovery, and neurodegenerative disorders.
  • Cardio-Respiratory and Sports Therapy: Interventions for chronic conditions, athletic performance, and preventive health.
  • Pediatric and Geriatric Care: Tailored approaches for developmental and age-related challenges.

Manuscript types accepted:

  • Original Research Articles (up to 5,000 words)
  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (up to 6,000 words)
  • Case Studies and Clinical Reports (up to 3,000 words)
  • Short Communications and Commentaries (up to 2,000 words)

All submissions must adhere to international ethical standards (e.g., HEC Pakistan guidelines, COPE) and demonstrate methodological rigor with practical implications.
